Install VibeHard Agent

Connect your agent to the factory. Free for personal use only; using it for a business, a client or a paid product needs the commercial-use license, which comes with the Software Factory plan ($199/mo).

Quick Install (Mac & Linux)

Run this single command in your terminal:

curl -fsSL https://vibehard.ai/download/install-agent.sh | bash

What the installer does:

  1. Reads the release manifest and downloads the current release (v2.0.3).
  2. Checks the SHA-256 checksum from the manifest before installing, and stops on any mismatch.
  3. Installs to ~/.local/bin/vibehard-agent.
  4. Starts the background service.
  5. Prints the MCP config entry for your agent. Registers it automatically if run interactively or with --mcp-register.

Notice

DO NOT use the installer or the built-in update if you are on v1.6.0 (it will roll itself back).

Follow the one-time manual swap instructions provided in /llms.txt.

From v1.7.0: Run `vibehard-agent update` once.
From v1.7.1, v2.0.0, v2.0.1 and v2.0.2: v2.0.3 arrives automatically within 30 minutes, or run `vibehard-agent update` to move now.

Intel Macs: stay on 2.0.0 for now. 2.0.3 has no Intel Mac build. If automatic updates are on, the 2.0.0 updater on an Intel Mac picks the Apple Silicon package, so about every 6 hours it downloads the 2.0.3 Apple Silicon package, fails its pre-install check, and stays on 2.0.0. To stop these attempts, set "auto_update": "off" in ~/.vibehard-agent/config.json.

For manual configuration or custom MCP setup, point your agent to /llms.txt.

Direct Downloads

Install by operating system

Temporary: until the installer handles prerequisites itself, run the block for your system. Agents: run uname -s first (Darwin = macOS, Linux = Linux; on Windows, check whether you are inside WSL) and use the matching block.

macOS (Apple Silicon)

xcode-select -p >/dev/null 2>&1 || xcode-select --install; curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nvm-sh/nvm/v0.40.3/install.sh | bash && export NVM_DIR="$HOME/.nvm" && . "$NVM_DIR/nvm.sh" && nvm install 22 && curl -fsSL https://bun.sh/install | bash && curl -fsSL https://vibehard.ai/download/install-agent.sh | bash -s -- --mcp-register && npx -y rea-agents@6.1.0 setup --yes --all-detected

Then restart your desktop agent app and, if you use the command-line agent, run claude mcp list. If Apple’s developer-tools window appeared, let it finish before the first build. If the installer asks about REA, answer n (the last step installs the tested version). Intel Macs stay on 2.0.0 for now.

Linux (x64 or arm64)

First, the admin step. Debian or Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y git curl unzip

Fedora:

sudo dnf install -y git curl unzip

Then:

curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nvm-sh/nvm/v0.40.3/install.sh | bash && export NVM_DIR="$HOME/.nvm" && . "$NVM_DIR/nvm.sh" && nvm install 22 && curl -fsSL https://bun.sh/install | bash && curl -fsSL https://vibehard.ai/download/install-agent.sh | bash -s -- --mcp-register && npx -y rea-agents@6.1.0 setup --yes --all-detected

Claude Code is supported on Linux; Claude Desktop isn’t available on Linux.

Windows

Not supported natively. Use WSL: run wsl --install in PowerShell as Administrator, restart, open Ubuntu, follow the Linux steps above, and use Claude Code inside Ubuntu.
